If you are looking for a longer excursion in a completely unique natural area, we can recommend the newly constructed Tranum-Fosdal route, which is 11 km long in its full length, and which offers both spectacular views and scenic experiences. The tour starts at the nature playground in Tranum, and along the way you cross Jammerbugten’s highest point, Bavnehøj, at 83.4 metres.

A good bite of food

If you need to avoid having to cook the food yourself, there is both the option of going to a restaurant, café or taking something easy to take away – all within driving distance of Svinkløv Camping.

Svinkløv Camping is next door to the beautiful and historic Svinkløv Badehotel. But we can certainly also warmly recommend the Hotel Nor restaurant, which is only 4 km from the Campsite.

If you’re into pizza, tournedos or something else entirely, the restaurants and cafes in the neighboring towns of Slettestrand and Fjerritslev have plenty to offer.

With the North Sea as our nearest neighbour, it is natural to dream of freshly caught fish for dinner. Thorupstrand Fiskehus offers them – both in the restaurant and to take home.

Purchasing options

From Svinkløv Camping it is not far to several well-stocked supermarkets, including SuperBrugsen and Meny, also in Brovst there are several supermarkets to choose from.

If you are looking for a butcher shop, you will find Slagter Palle in Østergade in Fjerritslev, while fresh fish can be bought in Thorupstrand Røgeri – known from “The Boys on the Cutters”.
